About

I was a philosophy and art dual major in college. I then did a stint as an Americorps volunteer, and then a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal.

I went to DU Law where I focused on international law and mediation. I had the incredible opportunity to work for both the Cambodia tribunal (remotely) and the Lebanon Tribunal in the Hague.

I was a public defender in Colorado Springs from 2015-2017. Then I clerked for a district court judge in Boulder County and worked briefly at a probate firm. I felt my time as a public defender was not done, and I also wanted to move off of the front range, so I accepted a position at the Alamosa public defender’s office, where I worked from 2018-2020. I briefly moved to Massachusetts in 2020 and did eviction defense work through a grant that was created to handle the influx of evictions after the COVID eviction moratorium ended. I obtained a Massachusetts bar license while I was there, which I’ve kept active.

I have traveled all over the world and the country and lived in many different places. Salida is the best of them and being able to establish myself here is one of my greatest accomplishments and joys. I moved here in 2021 and began my own practice, which consisted entirely of representing parents in child welfare cases until 2023, when I began taking on post-conviction cases and legal research projects through the Office of Alternative Defense Counsel. In October 2023, I “hung my shingle” and began taking private cases.

I have always had a mind towards public service, but now I am turning my eye towards private work. Everyone who needs a lawyer needs help, and so I can still be helping people, just a different population.

For fun, I like the typical Salida activities -skiing, snowboarding, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, mountain biking, rafting, hiking, and backpacking. I like yoga and working out, taking photos and reading, and hanging out with my dog and nephews.
